Automobile
In the public road like the embrace
of a two pronged compass,
the wind’s fingers in the mane
and miles in the belly,
us two were leaving, hollow,
whiplash for the soft gaze;
the mind a makeup, the blood make up
naked, naked, naked!
…On the bed with a soft
high pillow
how dizziness slipped away
like a fish in the sea…
In the two pronged public road
we were leaving, just bodies,
but with our hearts on each branch
separate, one left, one right.
